How to apply to our undergraduate & graduate programmes
Admission to the BA (Hons) programme is through the University of Dhaka's central admission test, followed by unit-wise merit selection. Applicants must meet the Faculty of Arts' minimum eligibility criteria in their HSC/equivalent examinations.
MA admission is open to BA (Hons) graduates in Urdu or a closely related discipline, subject to the department's minimum CGPA requirement and an admission test/interview conducted by the department.
MPhil admission requires a Master's degree with a strong academic record, a research proposal, and an interview before the department's academic committee. Seats are limited and offered based on merit and supervisor availability.
PhD admission is by direct arrangement with a supervising professor in the department. Prospective candidates should review faculty research interests and contact a professor directly before submitting a formal application.

Foreign nationals may apply for BA, MA, MPhil, and PhD programmes through the University of Dhaka's International Students admission process. Applicants should also review any additional language/visa requirements set by the university.
